About the Natives Know Road Tour
At Native Eyewear, we've always been fascinated by places. Born in Philadelphia, in 1998, the brand was living an urban life and daydreaming of the mountains. In 2008, it was time to make the dream a reality and the brand moved to Denver, Colorado. Even in the midst of this mile-high fresh air, our eagerness to explore continued to grow. And explore is exactly what we did.
The first step on a journey that would come to define us was a small one, to the neighboring outdoor haven of Boulder, Colorado. While there, we encountered people who shared the a similar spirit and took it to new heights. We heard their inspiring stories and we shared them with the world. Just like that, the Locals Only Project was born.
It's the Natives—with their knowledge and love of the places they call home—that have made the Locals Only Project integral to the identity of Native Eyewear. With their guidance, we biked through miles of Doug Fir in Hood River, Oregon; went full-on wild west in Whitefish, Montana; enjoyed post-ride craft brews in Brevard, North Carolina; and lived large on the big blue waters of Petoskey, Michigan.
In 2015, we're expanding the search into how and why people love the places they live. This is the root of being a Native. We're calling it the Natives Know Road Tour. On our side are two of the most seasoned road trippers we've ever met. They're taking to the road to connect with and explore what Natives know. We invite you to join us.
